- Course objectives
- Students will be provided with the most important religious concepts about human life as a journey to paradise or hell. The main source will be German philosophical and literary texts and their reading and interpretation. The analysis will proceed from the early Middle Ages.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to assign the most important human concepts of heaven and hell to different periods of history and historical development.
- Syllabus
- The teaching programme is divided into two units: a) Texts (philosophical and mystical) and their analysis. b) Dante Alighieri: Divine Comedy. Analysis of selected text sections.
