Prerequisites
The requirement for the participation in this class is basic knowledge in regional and cultural studies and a basic knowledge (INTEREST!)of german/austrian/swiss socity, politics and hisory. The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with (NOT ONLY TO TEACHERS BUT TO ANYONE WHO iS INTERESTED IN THE SUBJECT)

Course objectives
The main aim of this class is to critically discuss the terms "culture","Landeskunde", "regional and cultural studies". Furthermore knowledge concerning the different concepts of regional and cultural studies" and the didactical skills.
Learning outcomes
After completing this class, the student will be able to: - deal critically with fundamental terminology ("culture", "interculturality" "Landeskunde")and its history. - apply scientific terminology on "regional and cultural/migrational studies" - get a more profound view on "german/austrian/swiss culture" by means of actual perspectives from didactical concepts - understand discourses, which form a part of didactics and the construction of culture .
