- Course objectives
- Students of the course will organize an exhibition project at the Moravian Provincial Archive.
Following on from the course Exhibitions in the Archive I, this course involves the realization of an exhibition project at the Moravian Provincial Archive. In the previous course, Exhibitions in the Archive I, an exhibition plan was drawn up and entries for each exhibit were produced for the exhibition catalogue. The course Exhibitions in the Archive II will be divided into four modules. The first model will look at the academic and technical editing of an exhibition catalogue, its preparation for typesetting and the proofreading after typesetting. Firstly, students will be shown the principles of editorial work and the system of correction symbols which they will then use in the editorial preparation of a catalogue. The second module will focus on preparing the exhibition panels: the accompanying texts and exhibit descriptions, their graphic design, proofreading and printing. The third model will concentrate on promoting the exhibition, preparing the gallery opening night and an accompanying programme. The fourth module consists of teaching blocks directly in the Moravian Provincial Archive. The exhibition will be installed under the supervision of staff from the restoration unit. - Learning outcomes
