- Course objectives
- The goal of the lesson is to introduce students to the basics of Coptic language of Sahid dialect. Students will be introduced to basic grammatical categories, according to first 8 lessons of the textbook by Layton. Students will be able to read and understand primitive Coptic texts.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be acquainted with basic grammatical categories of the Sahidic dialect of the Coptic language (nouns, adjectives, pronouns, articles, numbers and prepositions) and they will be able to read simple nominal sentences.

- 1. Alphabet. 2. Articles. Noun. 3. Possessive article. Simple nominal sentences. 4. Adjective. 5. Nominal sentences with three members. 6. Numbers. 7. Prepositions. 8. Possessive pronoun.
