Course objectives
The aim of this course is to prepare students for the implementation of an exhibition project from a practical point of view.
The seminar is focused on practical aspects of realization of internet art exhibition: from curatorial preparation of exhibition project, its funding, promotion, realization and accompanying program to post-production.
The seminar is designed as two-terms seminar: TIM_M_029 (spring term) and TIM_M_030 (autumn term). The ideal outcome of the course is realization of actual exhibition. It is thus preferred to take both courses, however it is also possible to participate just in one of them.

developing an exhibition concept, selection of artists, dramaturgy of the exhibition
funding, preparation of grant application

Learning outcomes
The graduate is acquainted with all the steps necessary for the realization of exhibition and is able to organize exhibition or to participate on whichever part of its implementation.

By completing the course, the students will develop versatile practical skills necessary in independent gallery practice, especially in the context of the Czech Republic.

After completing the course the student is able to critically evaluate an exhibition of Internet related art or including such art forms at all levels of its realization.

In particular, they will be able to:
- prepare the concept of the exhibition (theme, artists, media, etc.)
- draw up the rough budget of the exhibition
- prepare a schedule
- look up, elaborate and submit suitable grant application
- prepare exhibition visualization
- exercise communication with authors
- prepare exhibition annotation, curatorial text and other text outputs related to the exhibition
- prepare exhibition PR plan
- promote the exhibition
- plan the installation in all its aspects, participate on the installation
- appropriately choose and organize accompanying events for the exhibition
- choose and ensure the apt exhibition documentation
- ensure the exhibition post production phase

Teaching methods
Responsible work and systematic fulfillment of entrusted tasks which are leading to the the realization of exhibition is a necessity.
Team work, including working in groups as well as individual work. Independent performance of responsible assignments, on which the team is dependent. Active search for information and efforts to achieve the maximum level of erudition in the entrusted area (self-study). Active following of Internet art and online exhibitions. Discussions, feedback, collaborative writing. Direct communication with professionals. During the autumn term the work will be more independent (on-line home-office and assignments), coordinated on-line as well as in personal meetings and consultations, in a way required by exhibition preparations and preparation/exhibition timeline.
Assessment methods
Attendance 80% (that is 3 missed personal or on-line meetings at maximum), responsible and systematic fulfillment of assignments (that have the character of preparation for the next meeting and necessary continuous work on the preparation of the exhibition), and participation at collective tasks.

The evaluation is of formative nature. Informal, continuous evaluation is applied, and feedback is provided. There will be provided informal verbal evaluation at the end of the course based on the quality of students work during the whole semester. Ongoing failure to fulfill your assigned duties within the team and/or non-cooperation is a reason for non granting credit.
