Course objectives
The aim of the course is the introduction of the students to the issue of images in the Middle Ages - the image as historical source; the function of image in medieval society; the relationship between history and the history of art and the most significant research concepts.
Learning outcomes
After completion of the course, the student will be able to set out the important characteristics of reception of images in medieval society.
