- Course objectives
- We would like to invite you to participate in the fourth edition of Summer School Jaroměř-Josefov. The international postdisciplinary workshop is focused on relations between diverse practices in the field of aesthetics, politics, performance and public space. The workshops, discussions and activities will be led by international artists, activists and theoreticians. This year's topic "Care and repair: assembling the impossible" is inspired by the urgent need to build a radical alternative to the normalisation of militarism and violence. We need to examine strategies of solidarity, mutual aid and building resilient, transnational networks and communities. The Summer School is divided into two parts: 3 virtual meetings which will take place in May-July 2022, and a physical cohabitation in Jaroměř-Josefov in Eastern Bohemia on 16-20 July, 2022. The project is a part of Erasmus + Blended Intensive Programme. The costs of travel, accomodation and meals for all participants will be covered from the project’s fund. After attendance, students will be offered 3 ECTS at their respective universities. The Summer School is organised by the Department of Theatre and Film Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University Olomouc in partnership with Department of Theatre Studies, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno, the Institute of Polish Culture, Faculty of Polish Studies, University of Warsaw, and The Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
