- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide basic orientation in the sounding appearance of the music before early 15th century and to create the qualification for its critical analysis.
- Learning outcomes
- After the finishing of the course HV_801b the student must be able to demonstrate the basic orientation in the sounding structure of the music before early 15th century.
- Syllabus
- The subject of the course is the integral part of the basic course HV 801a and analogical included following thematic spheres: 1) Music of the antique 2) Liturgical monody of the latin church 3) Paraliturgical monody of the latin church 4) Secular monody 5) Origins and early stage of polyphony 6) Ars antiqua 7) Ars nova
