Course objectives
The aim of the course is to approach the principles of mindfulness meditation. There is an effort to bring student to regular meditation practice and subsequent assessment of the effect of mindfulness meditation on sleep and emotional regulation.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be acquainted with some kinds of mindfulness meditation and they should be able to continue to practice mindfulness.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to mindfulness meditation + the first practical demonstration of guided mediation;
  • 2. The second guided meditation;
  • 3. The third guided meditation;
  • 4. The fourth guided meditation,
  • 5. The fifth guided meditation;
  • 6. The sixth guided meditation;
  • 7. The seventh guided meditation;
  • 8. Joint meeting with the eighth guided meditation + reflection of all eight weeks;
  • 9. Evaluating.

Teaching methods
Teaching methods: lecture, exercises, discussion, practical applications, independent mindfulness meditation.
Assessment methods
Completion requirements:
1. 80% attendance at classes, which takes place every week. An attendance at each contact meeting is necessary. From on-line meditation is option to play the record.
2. Meditation practice during the week.
3. Filling in questionnaires.
