Course objectives
The course aims to familiarise students with the functioning of the library of the Department of History, with a focus on the operation of the reading room and care of the book collection.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- orient themselves to the collection and services of an academic library
- orient themselves to current and older historiographical production
- organise, compile and take care of the book collection
Syllabus
  • - an introductory meeting (during the week of 18–24 September) to get acquainted with the operation of the library of the Department of History - internship in a selected seminar group for 3 hours per week (25 September – 17 December), self-study - a final colloquium (18–22 December) to reflect on the experience and acquired knowledge
