- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to extend the students' knowledge about regions and archaeological sites of the ancient Greek world. The main focus is on border regions where it is possible to observe typical signs of local cultures. Students will be provided with comprehensive teaching on natural and climatic conditions of presented regions as well as on their archaeological monuments, history, written sources and topography.
- Learning outcomes
- After completion of the course, students will be able to:
- define individual regions and representative archaeological sites of the Ancient Greece
- describe natural, historic, social and cultural conditions of each region
- compare and subsequently classify artefacts with specific attributes of the regions in question - Syllabus
