- Course objectives
- In this course and the follow-up course (Language Proficiency IV) we work towards level C1 according to the CEFR. In addition to consolidation of grammar and expansion of vocabulary, receptive skills (listening and reading) and productive skills (speaking and writing) are practiced.
- Learning outcomes
- The students work in Language Proficiency I till IV towards level C1. The following learning objectives are intended with regard to the target level:

- Every other week, students follow a module in the MOOC Dutch for advanced non-native speakers, in which listening and vocabulary exercises are the main focus and attention is paid to language variation. In the following week, writing assignments and linguistic input are linked to the topic discussed in the module. Vocabulary is practiced and productive skills (writing and especially speaking) are during the weekly lectures. This semester the following modules are covered:
- What does your language reveal about you? (module 1)
- Do you talk differently if you watch a lot of TV? (module 2)
- Why do so many gifted people fail to graduate? (module 3)
- Can following the news be deadly? (module 4)
- Are you a loser if you don't make a career? (module 9)
- Why do you get stressed from sitting at home? (module 6)

- Flipped classroom: e-learning combined with intensive classes and extra tasks, aimed at speaking and writing skills and expanding vocabulary.

- - Presence (max. 2 absences) and active cooperation
- Homework: do the assigned exercises in the MOOC and learn the vocabulary in Quizlet + repeat the vocabulary and prepare (productive) tasks and hand them in on time
