Course objectives
This course has three main objectives:
1. The first objective of this course is to take a (brief) look at contemporary French literature. We'll try to understand what this literature says, what it suggests about the world, history and the desires that run through it. In particular, I'll be drawing on Bruno Blanckeman's analysis in Les Fictions singulières (see bibliography).
2) Then, on a theoretical level, we will return to certain categories of analysis of poetry or certain poetic genres through the works studied.

Our analysis will be twofold. On the one hand, we will place the texts on the program in their authors' respective works. On the other, we will analyze the devices specific to these texts, in an attempt to understand the interrogations they echo. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

- write an essay (dissertation) defining the basic aesthetic principles of the creation of these authors based on the analysis of the works of the 'compulsory reading';
- critically evaluate and analyze one selected work in a seminar paper.
