Course objectives
The course is the third part of a series of diploma seminars, the content of which is a gradual process of preparation, creation and completion of the diploma thesis. This course follows on courses focused on the basics, methodology and creation of diploma thesis project. The content of the course is focused on work with secondary sources, formulation of methodological design and its implementation, work with structural elements of the text, anchoring and application of typographic, linguistic and stylistic rules.
The content of the course is to guide students through individual steps to the individual process of writing the text of the diploma thesis.
Learning outcomes
Student after passing the course:
- it has a good command of critical work with secondary resources;
- can formulate methodological design and implement it;
- can work with structural elements of the text;
- Controls citation activity and respects publishing ethics;
- can verbally formulate complex mental operations;
- has relevant knowledge of typographic, linguistic and stylistic rules and can apply them
Syllabus
  • 1. Critical work with secondary sources;
  • 2. Formulation of functional methodological design;
  • 3. Implementation and interpretation of research;
  • 4. Relevant work with structural elements of the text;
  • 5. Citation activity, publishing ethics;
  • 6. Verbal and written formulation of complex thought processes;
  • 7. Typographic and formal requirements of diploma thesis;
  • 8. Language and stylistic rules and their applications when writing professional texts.
  • The content of the course includes also thematic consultations with the supervisor according to the educational needs of the students.
