- Course objectives
- The aim of a language course Slovenian is:
Expanding the vocabulary, understanding written and spoken language, exercises in verbal and prepositional conjunctions, complex conjugation and declension, understanding and active use of idioms, and writing more complex essays. - Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course students are able to conversate on topics of adequate comlexity, interpret phrazeologisms, recognise the stylistic value of a text or speech, understands spoken language without difficulty.

- SLOVENIAN:
- Topics: the society in which we live (equality of men and women around the world, women in leadership positions, terrorism, gender theory, integration policies, etc.), the media (radio, television, Internet, social networks, commercials, bloggers, vloggers, influencers, addiction to social networks, and playing computer games); current topics related to daily events. Grammar: syntactic categories, pronouns, conjunctions, and articles. The Slovenian orthography.

- Teaching methods
- Seminar (two hours per week), home preparation, essays, translations from Czech to Slovenian, in the seminar a combination of teacher-led activities and student-centered/group learning activities will be employed.

- SLOVINŠTINA:
Students can order the textbook and workbook from their Slovene language lecturer at the beginning of the semester. Students read two contemporary Slovenian literature works (published after 2000) and then present them orally in class before the end of the semester. At the end of the semester, they will take a written and oral exam.
