- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to learn how to structure essays, organise information and use memorised sources in an exam situation. Students practise writing introductions, conclusions and paragraphs of evidence, and learn how to present information clearly and concisely.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- Choose an adequate topic of professional work
- Know the citation standard and the issue of plagiarism
- Meet the formal requirements of the professional text
- Know and use basic methodology
- Demonstrate competence when working with resources - Syllabus
- 1) introductory lesson, introduction to the issues, where to look for resources
- 2) DÚ1: correct format of bibliography
- 3) DÚ2: correct referencing of sources, citations, paraphrases
- 4) DÚ3: basic principles of academic work, methodology, analysis
- 5) DÚ4: professional and journalistic style; annotation, abstract, review
