Course objectives
The course introduces the methods of music analysis. The most contrasting forms and techniques from the period 1500 - 1900 are chosen and at the same time various types of analytical methods (Hindemith, Schönberg, Riemann, Schenker, Dahlhaus, de la Motte, Kühn) are offered. All work is done with the help of copied scores, hearing analysis is also stressed.
