- Course objectives
- Seminar is mainly for students, whose had absolved The theoretical basics of etymology course. On the basics of etymological principles and methods and with the help of new informations on Slavic languages students will develop their ability to reconstruct phonemic as well and semantic development of chosen words or word-families of Slavic lexicon.
- Syllabus
- 1. Dialectal split of proto-Slavic 2. Development of nasal vowels, yers. 3. Ways of classification of Slavic languages. 4. Slavic "Urheimat" 5. General characterization of Slavic languages. 6. Charactristic diferential features of Slavic languages in younger development. 7. Culturalhistorical and social developments on Slavic territories. 8. Charecterization of individual Slavic languages in phonology, morphology and lexicon. 9. Common relationships between Slavic languages. 10. Relationship between Slavic and non-Slavic languages. 11. Elementar lexical identity and non-identity in Slavic languages
