- Course objectives
- At the end of the course, students will understand how to use the creative imagery in a therapeutic alliance. They will be able to examine the theories, research and practice of imagination therapy with an accent to Leuner's Guided Affective Imagery. Participants will acquire practical skills how to conduct a relaxation with an imagination. Students will be in contact with imaginative methods and will profit by a broader and deeper understanding of themselves, the self-knowledge.

- 1. Imagery, daydreaming, fantasy, imagery in selected philosophical conceptions
- 2. Imagination in the european psychoanalytical school (Freud, Jung)
- 3. Imagination psychotherapy in Europe (Happich, Dessoille, Leuner - Guided Affective Imagery)
- 4. American modification (Shorr - task imagination)
- 5. Imagination psychotherapy in the cognitive - behaviour therapy (Wolpe, Cautela, Bandura)
- 6. Imagination psychotherapy in the client-centered psychology ((Assagioli, Kroger, Fezler, Masters, Houston)

- Teaching methods
- Education takes place every week to the extent of 2 lessons. An overview of basic theories and practical contact with chosen methods are provided.

- The course is concluded with the colloquium. Admission conditions: 80% participation in lessons at least.
