At the end of this course, the students should be able to:
- be familiar with relevant grammar
- be familiar with relevant vocabulary
- apply the acquired knowledge in reading selected simple passages from ancient Chinese texts and translate the texts - Syllabus

Reading of simple passages from selected ancient Chinese texts(Mengzi, Hanfeizi, Laozi, Zhuangzi),grammar explanation, translation of sentences, exercises, homeworks - Assessment methods
