Course objectives
The objective of the course is to interpret the visual arts in the context of Central European culture and history of the 19th and 20th centuries. Among the studied centres there will be Berlin, Hamburg, München (Munich), Wien (Vienna), Zürich, Kraków, Budapest, Prague, Brno and others. The course should help students to a better orientation in important questions of Central European culture, often omitted inthe frame of "global" history.
