Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to perceive various genres and arts in their transformations and un-determinateness;
Students should be more sensitive for searching for latent performativness of all genres appearing as stabile;
Students should be able to search and find connexions betwenn verbal and visual.
Syllabus
  • Oral poetry (ancient epic and lyric poetry, recitatio, reading in Antiquity and in Medieval times, troubadours, chansons singers,songsters);
  • Performace of poetry ( declamation, "physical" poetry, sound-poetry, slampoetry, hip hop);
  • Visual poetry (carmina figurata,lettrism, "concrete" poetry);
  • On the way to theatre (symposium, cabaret, theatre of poetry);
  • Máj of K.H. Mácha and its performativity (Burian, Traxleři, Hrušínský, Derfler);
