- Course objectives
- Main objectives of the course can be summarized as follows:
- to understand the text of Peter Abaelard, Planctus, and to interpret the verses read during the sessions;
- to read and analyze the metrics;
- to translate the poems with respect to the poetics of the texts; texts of the Old Testament as the models for "planctus". - Syllabus
