Course objectives
Course is aimed to preparing students for public speaking with PowerPoint support (aplication for graphical presentation). Students learn how to use functions and possibilities of PowerPoint and they aquire basic presentation skills. We concentrate on good performance of oral presentation with keep to the rules of successful presentation. At the end of this course, students should be able to: create simple, well arranged and understandable presentation; present select subject in public places successfuly; overpass a stage fright; respond to remarks and disscus.
Syllabus
  • Introduction - basic attributes and rules of presentation, basic functions in PP, colour scheme, fonts, opening slide.
  • Work in PP - manipulation with slides, insert of objects (charts, pictures, graphs, hypertext links, video, sound).
  • Presentation skills, presentation equipment.
  • Rules of public speaking - cadence, diction, loudness, position, gesture, nonverbal communication.
  • React to questions, disscus.
  • Oral presentation - evaluation.
