Course objectives
This course will make students familiar with the theoretical concept of comics, its development and it will also focus on practising interpretative skills connected with this interdisciplinary genre and a specific narrative mode. Attention will be paid to both Czech and foreign works. At the end of the course students will: orientate themselves in contemporary comics production; be familiar with important authors; be able to reflect the composition and structure of individual works in a greater detail and will be able to interpret the comics.
