- The Students should be able to understand, translate from Latin to Czech and to comment on the passages selected for reading.
- Syllabus
- Reading Vergil is not a course regularly taught during the semester. Student gains credit for independent reading of selected passages from Vergil (Aeneis I, II, IV, VI; Bucolica I, IV; Georgica I 1-5, II 458-474).
- Teaching methods
- Individual home reading.
- Assessment methods
- The knowledge of Vergil's work is tested by translating, metric analysis and commenting on selected passages from the reading list.

- The course can also be completed outside the examination period.
