Course objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will have a general knowledge of the evolution of trends of Swiss literature in German from the beginnings till nowadays. It is concentrated on special language and cultural situation of Switzerland on the one hand and on the history of Swiss literature in German on the other hand. The main objective is to gain overview of significant authors and works of this period and the capability of individual analysis.

  • Swiss contribution to German national literature from the beginnings to the 19th century.
