- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- During the vacation after the 2nd year of study the students will pass Field Practice II, which takes place at the scientific and research base of the MU in Pohansko near Břeclav. In the real conditions of archaeological excavations the students will apply their hitherto knowledge, primarily from the sphere of field theory and practice, geodesy and expert knowledge of material culture. During the excavations they are supposed to actively and individually participate in preparation, documentation and exploitation of the archaeological find situations. Selected number of students may participate in archaeological research abroad (the Near East, the Mediterranean).

- Teaching methods
- Involvement in archaeological research in Pohansko-Břeclav. The students will learn methods of documentation of archaeological research, stratigraphy, data processing, collaboration with related disciplines in the field and evaluation of sources.
