- Course objectives
- The students are informed about the development of ancient greece and roman architecture during this course. Chronological boarders of the theme are the first monuments of the Aegean architecture at one side and the period of the construction of the early byzantine Constantinopolis and the early christian churches from postconstantinian period.
- Syllabus
- Basic construction technologies, used materials and building styles.
- The most important architectonical forms (eg. sacral buildings, profan private and public architecture).
- Greece, or more precisely hellenistic, conception of urbanization.
