Course objectives
The main content of the course are selected themes of the ancient Greek literature, that have been explored recently and could not be explained in the courses History of the Classical Literature I-IV due to the shortage of time.
At the end of this course, students have a thorough knowledge of the selected topics of the ancient Greek literature.

Assessment methods
Lectures (these will include lectures of the visiting professors at the Institute of Classical Studies, attendance of these lectures is expected of students)
Essay on the the selected topic related to Hellenistic literature. Specific topics of the essays will be agreed upon at the last lecture session. Essay should fulfill the basic standards of the scholarly work (use of relevant secondary literature, citations, etc.)
Length of the essay: 3-5 pages of 1 800 characters.
