Course objectives
The aim of the course, following after the course History of Classical Literature I, is to present the comprehensive summary of the development of the poetic literary genres in the ancient Greek literature (including the ways of preserving evidence of Greek literature and relationship between Greek and Roman literature). At the end of this course, students are well informed about all genres of the ancient Greek poetry and its main representatives. They can also name the relevant secondary literature.

Teaching methods
Lectures. Homeworks / reading discussed texts.
Assessment methods
The course is taught as lectures. Regular attendance and participation in the course. Individual reading during the semester. Written test at the end of semester (Canfora: History of Classical Greek Literature). In case that the students do not participate on the lectures, oral examination will follow the written test.
