- Course objectives
- The aim of the second part of the course ist to provide basic orientation in practical problems of hymnology and to create the qualification for analytical and critical work with hymnological sources.
- Syllabus
- The subject of the course is made up by the following thematic spheres: 1) The church song as a musical and literaty work II 2) The history of the Czech church song 3) The hymnbook as a musicological source 4) The cataloging as a theoretical and heuristical problem Detailled syllabus and individual thematic units and a list of corresponding literature is in IS MU (please see the Study materials of VH_726a).

- Class (1,5 hours per week); within the calss a combination of teacher - led activities and student - centered/group learning activities will be employed.

- The course is ended by a credential interview,success of which is based on: 1) Reliable knowledge of historical development and theoretical problems of hymnology given by the syllabus and lectures; 2) Reliable knowledge of basic literature on the subject.
