Course objectives (in Czech)
Seminář je zaměřen úzce na estetický spor o umělecký status fotografie. Jeho cílem je přiblížit stálice a proměnné současné diskuse, předestřít argumenty obou hlavních stran (zastánců a odpůrců statusu uměleckosti fotografie) a hledat odpovědi na otázky, co je to čistá fotografie a jaký je její vztah k fotografii reálné; zda a co fotografii vymezuje v rámci její kauzality oproti jiným typům obrazů; zda je transparence pouhým předpokladem, či realitou fotografie; a jaký je rozdíl mezi pohledem na skutečnost přímo a skrze snímek.
