Course objectives
The aim of the course is to present the German grammar to students in both theoretical level and through practical exercises. A special attention is devoted to written texts and to the development vocabulary.
Syllabus
  • 1. Verbal tenses 1, types of verbs, negation in German; 2. Verbal tenses 2; article (indefinite, definite); 3. Verbal modes 1; personal pronouns; 4. Verbal modes 2, possessive pronouns; 5. declension of nouns, prepositions; 6. Repetition; 7. Numerals, gradation of adjectives; 8. Constructions with prepositions, coordinative conjunctions; 9. Declension of the substantives and adjectives, subordinative conjunctions; 10. Word-order in the main clauses; 11. Word-order in the subordinate clauses, types of the subordinate clauses; 12. Repetition, exercises. The grammatical survey is combined with exercises of competences in interpretation of written authentic texts.
