Course objectives
Ability to detect in the text specific manifestations of Quebec culture and Quebec French, so that they can be adequately translated into Czech.

  • 1. Translations from the French-Canadian literature into Czech: historical overview. 2. Translating cultural realities. 3. French language standards in Canada and Canadian French translation into Czech. 4. Seminar work - translations.
