- Course objectives
- The course aims to familiarize students with basic translation procedures. Students learn to apply different translation procedures (transposition, modulation, adaptation, implicitation, explicitation, etc.) to translate various types of texts.
- Syllabus
- Students will exercise their ability to use different translation methods by doing translation and corrections of various short pragmatic (manuals, warranty conditions for appliances, information leaflets, tourist guide, accompanying texts for the exhibition ...) and journalistic texts. In the e-learning course, students broaden and deepen their knowledge of text linguistics and discourse analysis acquired in the previous course FJPR004 Translation Seminar I. - Exposition and definitions of basic terms and their exemplification on different types of specific text (recordings), proceeding from diverse registers.
- Assessment methods
