Course objectives
The main aim of the course is to revise and consolidate what students have already learnt, and to develop and extend their knowledge further. The course includes activities to practise the 'problem areas' caused by L1 interference and vocabulary development activities - work on idioms and collocations. At the end of the course students should be able to pass the Qualifying Examination at CAE level.

Assessment methods
Assessment: continuous (computer-based written tests), compulsory attendance (2 absencies maximum). The progress tests (3 in each term, 70% overall) are a prerequisite for the Qualifying examination at the end of this course. The examination consists of an oral and a written part. It is necessary to pass all parts of the examination - pass-fail line 60% (for details see Information from the Teacher below)
