Course objectives
The course Religion in Post-February Czechoslovakia deals with changes of „religion question“, status of churches and common believers in official discourses and changes of religion practice in this period. The Communist party and its policy played a very important role too. The course is mainly focused on Christianity and Catholicism,the concept of political religion is not left aside. Major interpretative framework is cultury history. At the and of the course students should be able to understand and interprete mentioned changes after 1948 in Czechoslovakia. An integral part of lessons is reading of sources followed by discussions
