Course objectives
The aim is to teach students to write a review of Czech or foreign linguistic book and to respect both specific features of the genre and house rules of the individual periodicals, including methods how to offer the review.
Syllabus
  • Every participant is supposed to write two reviews: a preparatory one (analyzed as to whether it matches the necessary criteria) and the final one – as a condition for receiving the credits.

Teaching methods
A seminar with the focus on practical review writing.
Assessment methods
To receive credits, it is necessary to submit a practice review first, which will be analyzed by the teacher together with the student, and then the final review which will or will not be accepted by the teacher.
