- Course objectives
- In the course, we will focus on morphophonological alternations in Czech. The goal is to analyze them with the tools used by autosegmental models of phonology, esp. by Element Theory (Backley 2011).

- 1. phonological vs. morphophonological alternations: distribution of vocalic length in Czech 2. representation: derivation vs. suppletivism 3. Element Theory: privative primes vs binary features, complexity, dependecy 5. vocalic and consonantal alternations in Czech
