- Course objectives
- The objective of the course is gaining overview of architecture from the end of the 19th century to the sixties of the 20th century, and in the professional and lay debate as well. Key styles, authors, architectural and urban achievements in the world (expecially in Europe) and in the Czech Republic are discussed in the lectures: art nouveau, Beaux-Arts, New tradition, pre-WWI- and interwar avantgardism.
