- Assessment methods
- Continuous written tests whose format uses various item types (gap filling, multiple choice, matching, information transfer, short answer questions and translation from Czech to Arabic and vice versa) are used throughout the term. Class attendance is not required during the term but the students are strongly recommended to do so. They should participate actively in class work and fulfil their home assignments. Final test at the end of the spring term is into two parts: a written test and an oral test. The former measures acquired level of language proficiency in Arabic in 3 skills (listening, reading and writing) plus in language in use (grammar and vocabulary). Passmark – 60%.
