Course objectives
Main objectives of the course can be summarized as follows: to explain the continuity and tendencies of Western philosophical tradition.
Learning outcomes
After the completion of the course, students should be able to:
- identify basic philosophical notions and problems;
- explain the philosophical grounds of European cultural tradition and history of ideas.

  • The subject of philosophy, elementary philosophical notions, the topics of main philosophical disciplines
  • Ancient and medieval philosophy
  • Modern and contemporary philosophy
