Course objectives
Social Medicine and Public Health Administration is an independent branch of study, although it has been taught in various combinations – either as Public Health Administration and Social Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Public Health Administration, etc.
At the end of the course students should be able to define health care, to understand the complexness of health care in our population, interpret risk factors for individuals, society, and social group, and formulate programs of prevention.
The aim of the course is a complex understanding of health care in our population. The course presents factors that influence our health, risk factors for individuals, society and social groups. It introduces the student in the activities of WHO and programs of prevention.
