Course objectives
Political development in Czechoslovakia before Munich, politics of the Castle, the Parliamentary Five, individual political parties, the structure of Czech political life in the 1920s and 1930s, the system of elections and the functioning of parliament. Day-to-day activities, political scandals and troubles.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course, the student will be able to cope with basic problems of everyday life of the First Czechoslovak Republic, and will be able to orient easily in the period press and sources, as evidenced by answering questions in a knowledge test, the results of which will be part of the final exam.
