- Course objectives
- To show and explain students the basics of writing down the Czech sign language through the SignWriting phonetic notation system, including manual and non-manual parts of sings.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing this course, the student will be able to write lexical units in a sign language using SignWriting concerning the manual and nonmanual features. The student will also be able to reproduce some structures in sign language written by SignWriting.
- Syllabus
- 1) History and development of notation systems.
- 2) Options of using SignWriting.
- 3) Components of the sing and their representation.
- 4) Hanshapes and their orientation.
- 5) Contact symbols, straignt movement.
- 6) Curved and circular movement.
- 7) Rotation and dynamics.
- 8) Non-annual components, mouthing.
- 9) Related software.
