COVID measures:
- Presence in Brno: you need to be present in Brno even if Covid measures strike back, i.e. be a Brno resident and planning to stay in the city no matter what. (E.g., Erasmus students cannot guarantee that they will not be evacuated back home, so generally I cannot accept them this year.) BE IN BRNO IN THE FALL.
- Time dedication: You must be available on regular rehearsals (Wednesday 5 pm) and on all the weekends (1-2 and 28-29 November, 12-13 December). The production will also take a lot of your "free" time besides these regular meetings. BE AROUND A LOT.
- Time flexibility: Be ready to drop the effort at any time if the situation gets bad in the Fall. Be ready to pick up in the SPRING (late winter) if the situation gets better again. BE IN BRNO IN THE SPRING.

THE PROJECT MAY BE CANCELLED OR POSTPONED AT ANY TIME DUE TO COVID MEASURES.

Course objectives
(IMPORTANT NOTE -- ONLY PLANNING SESSION IN THE FALL. THE PROJECT WILL RUN IN THE SPRING 2021.)

This course is a practical exercise in drama. During the semester a play (or plays) in English will be rehearsed to be performed in December. Normally, rehearsals occur every week, as well as during a day-long initial weekend rehearsal and a long intensive weekend (Thursday - Sunday) at an out-of-town location in November. Additional intensive rehearsals are scheduled over a weekend in early December, as well as on other dates in late November and early December as needed. Performances usually occur during the second full week of December. Additional rehearsals and performances, including touring performances in other cities, as well as a second production if the personnel for it are available, may be scheduled during the spring term.
