Course objectives
The course will aim to give students the main knowledge and skills, which the editor needs to prepare a book title - from the handwriting to the book introduced on a fair.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student should be able to:
- understand book market;
- understand operation of publishing house;
- make proofreading;
- make other basic works of an editor.

  • - book market;
  • - operation of publishing house;
  • - co-operation with the author;
  • - publishing agreements;
  • - co-operation with the technical editor, the graphic designer and other designers;
  • - proofreading;
  • - technical and editor's data;
  • - accompanying texts (book cover, bookmarks and etc.);
  • - typographic minimum;
  • - editor's plan.
