- Course objectives
- The course continues the cycle of lectures Ethics I. The goal is to acquaint the student with the basic works of ethics from Renaissance to the beginning of 20th century.
- Learning outcomes
- Students get an overview of the basic events, figures and works in moral philosophy, learn the structure and major theses and arguments of key works of moral philosophy (Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, Spinoza, Hume, Bentham, Mill, Kant, Schopenhauer, Hegel, Nietzsche). Students will learn to interpret key moral philosophical works in the era using the knowledge of primary literature sources.
