Course objectives
The course presents selected manifestos of modernity as prescriptions of normative aesthetics. After teacher's presentation, students are guided to interpretation of the chosen texts, and class discussions follow. Manifestos of realism, symbolism, futurism, cubism, suprematism, Dadaism, surrealism, poeticism, Manifesto of Czech modernity, Manifesto of proletarian poetry.
Learning outcomes
The students will learn the main theories of the modern history of art and aesthetics.
